Now that the world is recognizing more of the same sex marriages with New York being the recent to sign the bill, its a fact that more wedding bells will ring loudest everywhere, but one main challenge is how the brides or grooms to be are going to dress up. 

One bride-to-be wrote: “We agree on almost all the details, except the all-important one of what we should wear. She really wants the full princess treatment—a classic silk or organza gown—and even something in her hair that might actually resemble a tiara. The problem is, that’s just not who I am!”

The challenges here is that there are not many history of same-sex weddings to draw upon. Still, there certainly have been some high-profile couples in recent years (Sir Elton and David Furnish, Ellen and Portia, not to mention our own charles Ngengi and Daniel Chege) who’ve partnered with style, and they can serve as your guides down the aisle. The choice of whether or not a couple should dress up in twin matching clothes should not be a thing of debate rather a choice for the couple to decide on.

"This has to be a very individual choice. My spouse and I were the first male couple married in Niagara Falls, Canada and we chose simple black pants and white dress shirts for our garden wedding. Since we are both concert musicians, we wear tuxedos all the time in our work so we didn't want to bring our "work" world into our personal wedding world. Our minister was in the traditional robes and we're very pleased with the outcome. Here, almost 10 years years later, we still look back at our wedding photos and are glad we made the choices we made on that monumental day in our lives" said Mark a newly wedded groom from Kenmore,Canada. 

Whatever it is that you agree on wearing or not wearing on that day one thing is for sure, you getting the love of your life to be your lifetime partner and not even the attire should stop you.
