What if you woke up to a press release in the Media, declaring that "the catholic church in Kenya supports homosexuality"
This would surely attract mixed reactions , but just before celebration starts you realise it was a hoax,
Well in an elaborate hoax, an unidentified group created a fake press release and website that declared the Southern Baptist Convention now supports marriage equality.
The press release went out to a number of journalists and announced that the Southern Baptist leadership met in an emergency session, affirmed gay rights, repented for "any past homophobia that not only hurt gay people but kept them ostracized from the church," and directed people to a fake website that included working phone numbers.
"It is definitely a hoax," Roger Oldham, vice president for communication for the Southern Baptists' emergency committee, told Fox News. Oldham said church officials are looking into pressing charges against the perpetrators — if they can find them.

50 days after the Resurrection of Jesus (PENTECOST AS IT IS CALLED), the Disciples were waiting in an Upper Room in Jerusalem.
On the 50th day, a strange event took place; many strong winds blew across and had tongues of fire.

Out of pain, I confess my hate filled days
Out of anger, I confess my wish for death
Out of my fear, I confess my distortion of truth
O God who knows us in our chaos, free me from hate and fear
Turn hate and anger into tools of healing
Open the door to reconciliation and restitution of right relationship
Between friends and neighbours
Between lovers
Between nations and peoples, that your truth may reign in our
Hearts, and your peace welcome us home. Amen

As momentum continued to build toward the passage of a marriage equality bill on Tuesday, New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan took to his website to compare the legislation to the sort of social control more identified with Communist regimes like China and North Korea.
Dolan wrote his piece the morning after three undecided Democrats and one Republican who voted against the bill in 2009 announced on Monday that they would vote yes on the marriage equality bill. Also Gov. Andrew Cuomo submitted his bill with exemptions for religious institutions and a second Republican senator expressed his support.
